Shipping policy
We recognize that you want your new toy(s) as soon as possible. Systems generally enter the test process within three days of payment, usually faster. Computers "burn-in" for 24 hours after that. We ship on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We will try to let you know if delays in shipment within or beyond our control happen (weather, plagues of locusts, armed insurrection, invasion by alien overlords, vacations, the shop is too busy, etc.) and give you a shipping ETA.
PLEASE NOTE: UPS is a horrible company. If your products are damaged in delivery, which happens with UPS more often than other carriers, they will make it as difficult as possible to settle a claim. This will include putting BLC people and/or you in endless hold loops (if you can find their live customer service number in the first place), transferring you endlessly between departments, missing repeated appointments to inspect damage...for weeks on end, and ultimately denying many claims (like them leaving a package full of vintage computer gear in the rain) as acts of God. And if they promise to call you back...well...ain't never gonna happen. We offer UPS as a shipping option because it's cheap and we're really good at packaging things that we send to you. But please beware, you get what you pay for. That said, if your package is damaged in transit either to you from us or from you to us, we will work diligently with UPS on any claims you make, and we will file claims on your behalf promptly and keep on top of them for you. Refunds will be promptly issued AFTER UPS pays the insurance claim. And we do insure your order for its full value (which is why shipping is a few bucks more than some other places). You can help the process along by taking pictures of packaging before opening it, and refusing delivery of any packages that show visible external damage.
If you are sending items to us (such as trade-ins or service work), we do not recommend using UPS at all. If you do, pack about twice as well as you think you need to, as UPS will do their best to destroy your stuff.
NOTE: Enough is enough. As of 7/22/2021, we can no longer offer UPS for international shipments. They're just a bunch of poopie heads.
Customs duties and VAT in the destination country is the responsibility of the buyer, naturally. But we mark all of our items with the international code for video games, which should have zero tariff to all countries. But please check with your ministry of taxation, trade-unfriendliness, graft, corruption and capriciousness to be sure before you make your purchase.
