These Atari 800's have undergone a full tear-down, check of every component and rebuild. Every chip is scoped for proper signaling, voltages verified, every key removed and individually cleaned. Before shipping, they are run for 24 hours continuously as a burn-in test.
The difference in "Condition" grades are cosmetic variations. Condition 1 is pretty close to new, possibly some bottom label damage and maybe a scuff or two in a not easy to see spot. Condition 2 may have a bit of yellowing and/or a scratch or two, but is very presentable. Condition 3 could have case cracks or missing pieces in places where functionality isn't affected. If there's any functional problems, they are listed as parts machines only. All Condition 1, 2 or 3 units have the same 90 day warranty.
Includes BASIC cartridge, original (tested) 9V power supply OR a modern replacement (if you have a preference for which please indicate so in the order comments), composite video cable (in addition to the standard built-in RF A/V cable).
If you would prefer an S-Video cable to improve the display quality on a compatible monitor or TV, we can replace the included composite cable with a compatible S-Video cable for a $15 up-charge. Just include your request in notes to the seller when checking out, or e-mail us. We'll bill you separately for the s-video cable.
Also Includes our 90-day warranty.
CURRENT SPECIAL for SUMMER 2020: These units will include a free AtariMAX for BonusLifeComputers pre-loaded multicart. If you'd like a custom pre-load for this multicart, contact us. See our Atari section for details on this custom multicart.
All of our systems and original boxes are graded based on cosmetic condition, relative to how they came from the factory. Pluses and minuses may be assigned when a system is slightly better or slightly worse than the three grades we offer.
The grades are as follows:
Grade 1: System is as new, with no more than one or two minor blemishes in places not visible when sitting on a desk. Yellowing must be non-existent or barely observable. Grade 1+ is reserved for new/unusued or systems that show no signs of use or any discoloration. Grade 1+ systems cannot be distinguished from factory new systems.
Grade 2: System is very presentable, with few blemishes and/or a little yellowing. Cases have no cracks. White keys may have yellowing on their sides.
Grade 3: System may have cracks on the case, significant blemishes, missing trim pieces that do not affect proper operation, or significant yellowing. White keys are probably fairly yellow. These systems are discounted significantly and intended for people who want a system but don't care that it doesn't look great on a desk.
Ungraded: Non-working parts machines, non-working components, or items that obviously can't be graded (such as cables or disks).
